Foam is a vegan breakfast and lunch cafe that is inspired by a variety of cuisines. They serve dishes like Mexican quesadillas, but also Vietnamese salads, or a Middle Eastern pita. Both sweet tooths and savory sandwich fans will find plenty of options here. And if you need a gluten-free lunch, you can still select more than half of the menu. Foam is indoors in the winter, but in the summer you can sit on the terrace in the garden or on the street side. Placing a reservation is definitely recommended. De Vegetarische Toko
Although the name suggests vegetarian food, De Vegetarische Toko (the Vegetarian Toko) is 100% plant-based. It is the first and only plant-based toko in the Netherlands. The chefs make classic Indonesian dishes, but transform them into delicious plant-based versions. For example, you will find rendang, char sui and chicken cashew, but with homemade vegan meat. Dishes from other Asian cuisines are also available. At De Vegetarische Toko you can eat inside or on the terrace, but if you feel like an evening at home, you can also pick up the meals or get them delivered. + More info

Grand Café Utopie
The owners of Utopie describe the Grand Café as a meeting place for idealists. You can not only enjoy a snack and a drink, but also meet people, work and present. Since 2004 you can come to restaurant Hagedis for a vegan and (mostly) organic meal. The building is located in a monumental former school building and also has a spacious, green terrace. The nice thing about the location is that the tenants largely manage the building themselves, including management and any renovations.
