At De Chique Zaak you experience totally different things: as the name suggests, it is a fancier version. Not Italian cuisine, but international. Both sweet tooths and savory sandwich fans will find plenty of options here. And if you need a gluten-free lunch, you can still select more than half of the menu. Foam is indoors in the winter, but in the summer you can sit on the terrace in the garden or on the street side. Placing a reservation is definitely recommended. Restaurant Hagedis
Since 2004 you can come to restaurant Hagedis for a vegan and (mostly) organic meal. The building is located in a monumental former school building and also has a spacious, green terrace. The nice thing about the location is that the tenants largely manage the building themselves, including management and any renovations. So you can be sure that the building is decorated according to their own taste. Reservation is definitely recommended. If you prefer to cook at home, then you've also come to the right place: Hagedis also gives occasional vegan cooking workshops, where you learn new tips & tricks to take home. And if you're not a talented cook, don't worry: you can also hire Hagedis for catering. + More info

The Library in Goes is the only library in the whole of the Netherlands with a catering section with a 100% vegan menu. The café also takes sustainability into account: for example, most products come from Zeeland soil, so less transportation is needed. This café is an excellent combination with a visit to the library, but you can also drop in without bringing any books. Although that is made difficult because you are surrounded by books everywhere. A nice living room vibe it certainly is. You can only pay by card here, no cash. There is no fixed menu, which is why RestauPlant has no examples and menu online. They are 100% vegan and donate all their profits to organizations that are committed to animal welfare and the environment. They also have a cozy terrace and the entire interior comes from their sister shop, the Wawollie (thrift store) that supports the same charities! If this isn't worth it enough, their food is!
