Description
De Verkeerstoren is located in a special place. As the name suggests: the bar is located in the (low-rise of) control tower of the former Ypenburg airport. Don't worry, the airport closed in 1991, so you're not surrounded by airplane fumes. The coffee & frozen yogurt bar is completely vegetarian. You can get frozen yogurt (vegan and vegetarian), but also ice cream, coffee, smoothies, smoothie bowls, cookies and snacks. Of course, you can choose from many toppings to fully customize your frozen yogurt bowl. In the winter you can also get mulled wine and occasionally there is soup on the menu. In short, enough variety. You can sit inside or outside. And besides serving breakfast and brunch, they also organize special afternoons. Sometimes there are bands for live music, but they also organize plant events. This is an event where people can trade or sell plants. Thus, this makes for a very good reason for plant-lovers to visit. Please note that they only serve the vegan frozen yogurt on the 1st Wednesday through the 1st Sunday of the month. The other days it is available as frozen scoop ice cream.
