Description
The Golden Temple is a vegetarian Asian restaurant. The restaurant is named after the famous Sikh temple in northern India. This temple has four doors, which symbolize that everyone, regardless of religion, is always welcome here. This is exactly what the restaurant wants to show. The way from the temple to the restaurant runs through meditation, yoga and the conscious preparation of honest dishes.

Afgelopen week gegeten bij de Golden Temple met een groep van 30 man. We hadden bovenin een aparte ruimte, erg gezellig. Er was een vast menu dat geserveerd wordt, allemaal Indiaas. Een aantal voorgerechten (pakora's, summer rolls, tofu skewers en tempura), dan een aantal hoofdgerechten (kokos curry, tofu tikka masala, saag paneer) en 2 heerlijke toetjes (chocolade en kokostaart). Op de saag paneer na was alles vegan, dus superleuk en lekker. Het duurde wel wat lang maar ja, wat verwacht je met 30 man in één keer.
We hadn’t had indian food in so long and finally got to try The Golden Temple . They serve a lacto-vegetarian menu (no fish, meat or eggs) in a centrally located venue. Service and food was good. But Indian Amsterdam does not compare to Indian in London so far.
Curries, pizza, Mexican food - you can find it all at Golden Temple Restaurant! We had a lovely time at the window seat pillow table and enjoyed the food and friendly service. I really enjoyed the tofu tikka masala and garlic naan, but some of the flavour combinations on the thali and appetizer plate were a bit too jarring (they mixed many different types of flavours which didn't always go together). However, we still had a lovely evening here and it's a super cosy spot to spend your time at!

Een Indiase kaart gecombineerd met pizza's: het is even aftasten wat je nu precies moet eten bij Golden Tempel. Ik koos voor traditioneel Indiaas en werd niet teleurgesteld: de combinatieplank bevatte van alles wat en het vervoerde. Heerlijke tent met ditto sfeer.
